Overview

Contribution Shift is a leadership development app designed to help users grow from individual contributors into leaders who contribute effectively through others. We collect limited information needed to provide app features, support synchronization, and deliver Mentor guidance.

Information We Collect

• User-entered content, including development plans, reflections, organisational and team notes, one-on-one notes, and Mentor prompts.
• App account identifiers, such as a Mentor account ID or sync account ID used to support app functionality across devices.
• Technical and service information, including app version, timestamps, and service response details needed to operate features and troubleshoot issues.

How We Use Information

• provide and maintain app features;
• save and synchronize app data across supported devices;
• process Mentor requests and return Mentor guidance;
• respond to support requests and improve reliability, security, and performance.

Mentor Requests

When you use Mentor, information you enter in your request may be transmitted to backend services so the feature can operate and return a response. This may include your Mentor prompt, account identifier, and related context needed to provide the service.

Public Website Mentor

Questions submitted through the public website Mentor are sent to backend services to produce a response. Operational logs may include the question, response status, timestamp, and limited technical information used for security, reliability, and service improvement. The public Mentor does not have access to private app records unless a user deliberately includes that information in the question.

Private App Mentor

The private app Mentor may receive the prompt, Mentor account identifier, recent conversation history, and context deliberately supplied by the app, such as selected development, organisation, team, member, one-on-one, or follow-through information. This context is used to provide relevant guidance and should not be used to diagnose or label individuals.

CMMO® Organisational Contribution Mapping

Organisation workspace registration details are stored separately from anonymous participant survey responses. Participants assess contribution relationships between organisational blocks rather than scoring named people. Organisation administrators view aggregated contribution evidence and map results, not participant identities.

Technical or security logs may record information such as timestamps and IP addresses for administration, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service reliability. These records are not displayed as participant survey identity.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate the app and its services, including service providers that support app functionality, storage, synchronization, and Mentor responses.

Tracking and Advertising

Contribution Shift does not use your data for third-party advertising tracking. We do not use other user content for cross-app or cross-website tracking purposes.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain account-related functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

• You can choose what content you enter into the app.
• You may contact us if you need support relating to your data or app account.
• You may stop using the app at any time.

Children’s Privacy

Contribution Shift is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown above.
